Body Piercing in Orlando, FL
Pokes and Pouts is a body piercing studio in Orlando, Florida where every appointment is unhurried, every needle is single-use, and every piece of jewelry we install is implant-grade. Whether you’re getting your very first lobe piercing or curating a complex ear, our goal is simple: a safe, gentle, beautiful piercing you’ll love living with.
Our Approach to Body Piercing
We use single-use, sterilized needles for every piercing in our Orlando studio — never a piercing gun. Needles are gentler on the tissue, more precise, and dramatically safer for healing. The consultation comes first: we talk through placement, anatomy, jewelry style, and what your healing window will look like so you walk into the piercing knowing exactly what to expect.
Every piece of jewelry we install is implant-grade titanium, niobium, or solid gold from brands we trust — including Buddha Jewelry Organics, NeoMetal, and Anatometal. No mystery metals, no nickel, no compromise on quality.

Implant-Grade Body Jewelry — In Studio and Online
We also run a curated online body jewelry shop — clickers, threadless ends, seam rings, chains, charms, plugs, posts, and more. Every piece is the same implant-grade, body-safe quality we use on fresh and healed piercings in studio. Browse the full jewelry catalog online, or come try things on in person at our Orlando location.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
Plan on roughly 30 to 45 minutes per piercing once you arrive. The flow: we check your ID, walk through consent and aftercare, look at your anatomy, choose jewelry, mark the placement together, and only do the piercing once you’re 100% happy with the dot. The piercing itself is a quick sharp pinch followed by a brief dull throb that fades within seconds. You’ll leave with written aftercare instructions and you can message us anytime during healing if something feels off.
Aftercare and Healing
Healing times vary by placement: earlobes typically settle in 6 to 8 weeks, nostrils in 4 to 6 months, and cartilage, navel, and most body piercings in 6 to 12 months. The basics are the same across the board — leave it alone, sleep clean, rinse with sterile saline once or twice a day, and don’t change the jewelry until we’ve confirmed it’s healed (let us handle the first downsize so swelling doesn’t trap a too-tight piece).
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you use a needle or a piercing gun?
Always a single-use, sterilized needle. Piercing guns can’t be properly sterilized, cause blunt-force trauma to the tissue, and almost always come loaded with non-implant-grade jewelry. Needles are gentler, more precise, and far safer for healing.
Do I need an appointment?
We strongly recommend booking ahead — appointments get priority and let us reserve the time you need. Walk-ins are accepted whenever we have availability.
What’s the minimum age for a piercing in Florida?
Florida law requires a parent or legal guardian present, with matching ID for both, for any piercing on a minor. We do not pierce infants.
Can I change my jewelry myself?
Wait until your piercing is fully healed, and let us handle the first change — especially the initial downsize as swelling goes down. Trying to change a fresh piercing yourself is the most common cause of healing setbacks we see.
