Permanent Makeup in Orlando, FL

Custom-shaped brows, soft lash enhancements, and lip blushing — performed by a Florida-licensed cosmetic tattoo artist at our Orlando studio. Pokes and Pouts is where natural-looking permanent makeup meets a calm, clean, body-positive space.

Permanent Makeup Services We Offer

Cosmetic tattooing (often called permanent makeup or PMU) is the practice of placing pigment into the skin to enhance features that you’d otherwise have to redraw every morning. At our Orlando studio we focus on natural, custom-shaped results that flatter your face, not generic stencils. Common services include:

  • Microblading — hand-drawn, hairlike strokes for the softest, most natural-looking brows. Best for normal-to-dry skin.
  • Powder brows / ombré brows — a soft, gradient shaded brow with a defined edge. Ideal for oily skin or anyone wanting a fuller, “makeup-on” finish.
  • Combo brows — microbladed strokes plus a powder shade behind them, for definition with dimension.
  • Lash enhancement / lash line — a fine tattooed line right at the lash base that makes lashes look thicker without looking like eyeliner.
  • Lip blush — a soft pigment wash that defines and warms up the lips’ natural color.

What Makes Pokes and Pouts Different

Permanent makeup is a craft, and the results live on your face for years. Two things we take very seriously: shape (we measure, draw, and re-draw the brow with you before any pigment ever touches your skin) and pigment science (we use professional, body-safe pigments and choose tones that will heal soft and true to your undertone, not gray or orange).

Our Orlando studio is licensed, sterilized, and single-use across the board — the same standards we apply to body piercing apply to cosmetic tattooing.

How an Appointment Works

Plan on 2 to 3 hours for your first session. The flow looks like this:

  • Consultation — we review your medical history, current brows or lips, what you like and don’t like, and where you want to land.
  • Shape and color — we map, draw, and tweak the shape together until you love it, then choose a pigment based on your skin tone and the look you want.
  • Numbing — topical anesthetic is applied so you stay comfortable.
  • The procedure — pigment is placed precisely into the upper layer of the skin. Most clients describe it as scratchy but very tolerable.
  • Aftercare walkthrough — you leave with written instructions and our number for any questions during healing.
  • Perfecting session — 6 to 8 weeks later we touch up anything that healed lighter, add detail, and lock the shape in.

Healing and Longevity

Initial healing takes about 7 to 14 days — expect the color to look bold for 4 or 5 days, flake or “frost,” then soften considerably as the skin settles. Final color shows up around the 4 to 6 week mark, which is why we schedule the perfecting session at that point.

Most permanent makeup lasts 1 to 3 years before a refresh, depending on your skin type, sun exposure, and skincare routine. Florida sun is hard on pigment — daily SPF on healed brows is the single best thing you can do to extend the work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does permanent makeup hurt?

Most clients describe brows and lash enhancement as scratchy but very manageable, especially after we numb. Lip blush is the most sensitive procedure but still well-tolerated with topical anesthetic.

How long does it really last?

Microblading typically lasts 1 to 2 years; powder and combo brows often go 2 to 3+ years; lash lines and lip blush usually hold for 2 to 4 years. A perfecting session every 12 to 18 months keeps everything looking fresh.

Will the brows look natural or “tattooed”?

We design every brow custom to your face and your real hair pattern, with pigments matched to your undertone. The goal is brows that read as your own — just better.

Is there anyone who shouldn’t get permanent makeup?

We do not perform PMU on anyone pregnant or breastfeeding, on accutane within the last year, with active skin conditions in the area, or with certain medical conditions. We screen at consultation and reschedule if needed.

Can you fix or cover old brow tattoos?

Sometimes. We do a free consultation to look at the existing color, shape, and saturation, and tell you honestly whether a cover or a correction is realistic.
